No-guess mode
Every board is solvable with logic alone. No 50/50 coin flips, no losing to bad luck.
A modern take on classic Minesweeper. With No-Guess mode, every board can be solved with logic alone — no 50/50 coin flips, no losing to bad luck. Smooth performance, satisfying haptics, and a design that gets out of your way.
Same tiles, same numbers, same satisfying sweep. What it can't give you is No-Guess mode, the haptics, the undo, or your name on the leaderboard — that part needs the app.

No accounts to create, no energy to wait for, nothing to dismiss before your first tap.
Every board is solvable with logic alone. No 50/50 coin flips, no losing to bad luck.
No banners, no interstitials, no paywalls — ever. The whole screen is the game.
Compete by difficulty against players worldwide, and watch your records improve over time.
One misclick shouldn't end a good run. Undo your last move after hitting a mine and keep going.
Clear a solved number's neighbours in a single action. Play faster, sweep smarter.
Every tap, flag and cascade lands with feedback tuned to feel exactly right.
Follows your system, so it's easy on the eyes at midnight and in the sun. This page does too.
Easy 8×8, Medium 16×16, Expert 16×30 — from a coffee break to a proper sitting.

The same clean, classic look on iPhone and iPad — light or dark, day or night.
You know the feeling: forty seconds into a clean Expert board, and the last two tiles come down to a coin flip. Not anymore.
The big one: No-Guess mode is here, and it's on by default. Every board is now 100% solvable with pure logic — no more 50/50 coin flips, no more losing to bad luck. Also in this update: pausing no longer stops the timer, so leaderboard times are honest again; swipe back works on every screen once more; and a round of small UI polish throughout. Happy sweeping!
Yes. It is free to download, and there are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or paywalls.
There is no catch. It is built by one person as a side project, so there is nothing to monetise: no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscription. It stays free.
No. The app is 100% ad-free — no banners, no interstitials, no rewarded videos. Nothing interrupts a game.
Yes. Since version 1.4.0, No-Guess mode is on by default: boards are generated so that a logical path to the solution always exists, so a clean game never comes down to a 50/50 guess at the end.
You can switch No-Guess mode off in settings if you prefer fully random boards. It does not make the game easier either way — mine counts and board sizes are unchanged, and it only guarantees that the solution can be reached by logic. Times from both are ranked on the same leaderboard.
Only anonymous gameplay analytics — how many games are won or lost, and similar patterns that show how the game is being played. There are no ads, so there is no ad tracking. If you use the leaderboard, the nickname you choose is stored with your best times; play offline and nothing leaves your device. The full details are in the privacy policy.
Yes. The game works entirely offline — when you first open the app you can choose Play offline and skip creating a nickname altogether. A connection is only needed to submit your times to the global leaderboard.
No sign-up is required. You pick a nickname in the app, and your best times can then be ranked by difficulty against players around the world.
Yes. Since version 1.3.0 you can undo your last move after hitting a mine and carry on with the same game, so a single misclick does not end a good run. Runs that used an undo are still ranked on the leaderboard.
Yes. Tapping a number whose neighbouring mines are all flagged clears the remaining covered tiles around it, which is what makes fast play possible.
Minesweeper Y is a universal app for iPhone and iPad and requires iOS 18.0 or iPadOS 18.0 or later. The download is 12.5 MB.
Suggest features and vote on them inside the app — what players vote for is what gets built next. For anything else, including bug reports, there is a support page with an email address.
It is completely ad-free with no in-app purchases, and it adds what the classic game never had: No-Guess mode so no board comes down to a coin flip, undo after hitting a mine, a global leaderboard by difficulty, chording support and haptic feedback. It is also built by one person, and the roadmap is decided by the suggestions players vote on in the app.
"Minesweeper Y is built by one person, in the evenings, because I wanted a version with nothing in the way. Every rating and every suggestion genuinely shapes what ships next."
